From Roots to Future: Momec's History

It was back in May 1985 when Roberto, after working his way up through the ranks as a sales representative and agent for a well-known company in the automotive sector, decided with great enthusiasm and courage to embark on a new professional adventure, to realise his dream in the drawer: he thus founded Momec di R. Motta.
Initially, Momec was a small business that distributed products and technical materials for the automotive and industrial sectors throughout the province and region.
A small house garage that served as both warehouse and office.
That period was marked by commitment, sacrifices and a great determination to realise an ambitious project.

Over the years, the business was transformed into a company and Momec S.a.S. was born.

Thanks to the experience gained and the expansion of the customer portfolio, towards the end of the 1990s, the company moved its operational headquarters to a shed in the municipality of Macherio, a small town just a stone's throw from the Monza racetrack... the temple of racing!
This change marked the beginning of a new era: the company began to make its way into the Motorsport and Racing market. The company's dynamism and continuous search for innovative solutions, combined with growing customer demands, led to the expansion of the product range, which was increasingly qualified and of high quality, also ranging into specific articles for the Motorsport and Racing sectors.

In 2008, the company was transformed into Momec Italia Srl, continuing the growth path started so many years before.

However, between 2008 and 2013, the global economic crisis hit the markets hard, including the automotive, industrial and motorsport sectors.
Despite the difficulties, with enormous effort and sacrifices, the company managed to overcome that complex period.

In 2015, the entry of their son Andrea, fresh out of university, brought a breath of innovation that was fundamental for the future of the company.
New marketing strategies, the expansion of business relations beyond national borders and the expansion of the product range contributed to significant growth.
In the following years, further investments proved to be strategic: the reorganisation and enlargement of the warehouse, the creation of a new website, the complete restructuring of the offices and the start of new collaborations with prestigious companies in the Motorsport and Aerospace sectors.

New projects and great ambitions are and always will be the driving force behind Momec Italia Srl, which looks to the future with determination.
From that distant 1985, when Roberto's dream was in a small garage at home..
until today, 40 years later, proud to have reached this fantastic milestone!
