Same characteristics as classic K Nut Self-Locking Hex, the only difference: they DON'T contain Cadmium (Free of Cadmium).
The use of cadmium coatings in the EU is limited to
● items and item components used in the aeronautical, aerospace, mining, offshore and
nuclear sectors whose applications require high standards of safety and safety devices
road and agricultural vehicles, rolling stock and ships, electrical contacts in any sector of use, wherever this may be necessary to guarantee the reliability required of the equipment on which they are installed;
● Based on the European regulation ELV (End of Life Vehicles), WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), cadmium is no longer restricted
of 0.01% by weight of any vehicle and electronic material or covering, with exemptions for
aircraft and military use.
